ANNVILLE, Pa. – The Lebanon Valley Esports program has announced that Harold Bowman '24 will return to The Valley as the program's first-ever full-time Head Coach.

"We are proud to welcome Harold Bowman as Lebanon Valley College's first full-time Head Coach of Esports." said David Shapiro '99, LVC's Director of Esports Operations. "His leadership, industry experience, and deep connection to the LVC community position us as a national model for collegiate Esports excellence."

Bowman returns to LVC after spending a year at the University of Southern Mississippi as a Graduate Assistant for the Golden Eagles Esports program while also enrolled in the school's Master's in Sport Management Program. He will finish his degree with online classes at Southern Mississippi.

Bowman played a major role in producing the livestreams of competitions for the Golden Eagles as he increased the quality and quantity of the streams. During the spring semester, he managed the Call of Duty, Madden, and iRacing teams. He also competed one last time in collegiate Esports, helping the Southern Miss Halo team win its second National Championship in program history.

Along with his duties for the Golden Eagles, Bowman coordinated the planning and operations of the Mississippi High School Athletic Association state finals for esports.

"Bringing Harold back to LVC is more than a hire, it's the spark we needed," said Shapiro. "His passion for esports and unwavering love for this college mark the beginning of an exciting new chapter for LVC Esports."

"The Valley is a very special place to me," Bowman stated about coming back to LVC. "It's where I built my career and obtained the national reputation I have for my work ethic and abilities, which goes beyond just content production. It means the world to me getting the chance to create the same opportunities and more for the players and staff that come into this program both in the present and in the future. I'm excited to get started in this new position and bring more championships to The Valley."

At LVC, Bowman competed on the Esports team all four years, including serving as the program's social media manager and broadcaster in his final two years. He even wrote recap articles for the program, which were featured on GoDutchmen.com and in La Vie Collegienne, LVC's student-run newspaper.

Bowman has a diverse competition background. His main game is Call of Duty, but he also was a member of the Halo, Rainbow 6, Rocket League, and Valorant teams during his time at The Valley. He won multiple championships with the Call of Duty team, was a substitute for the Rainbow 6 team that won the National Championship and National Association of Collegiate Esports Championship, and subbed in for the Valorant team when they won the Kutztown LAN in 2023. Bowman graduated from LVC in 2024 with a degree in Digital Communications.
