ANNVILLE, Pa. – Sierra Young had a great meet winning the 200-meter freestyle and the 110-meter butterfly along with being the third leg on the Lebanon Valley winning 200-meter medley relay team to lead the women's swimming team against Stevenson University on Saturday. The visiting Mustangs won the meet 150-95.
Inside the Box Score
- The Dutchmen started the meet off by winning the 200-meter medley relay in 2:14.37. Karli Averill, Emily Beard, Young, and Jordyn Grossman teamed together to give LVC the early lead.
- Young led from start to finish in the 200-meter freestyle finishing in 2:23.70 and led wire-to-wire in the 100-meter butterfly finishing in 1:14.01. She won the 100-meter butterfly by an impressive four seconds.
- Grossman was also an event winner for the Dutchmen taking home the 100-meter freestyle in 1:08.10. She was second in the 100-meter backstroke touching the wall in 1:16.17.
- Rachel King finished second in the 100-meter breaststroke with a time of 1:28.83. She was also second in the 200-meter breaststroke swimming 3:13.10.
- Rachel Gibson touched the wall second in the 50-meter freestyle in 31.98 seconds.
- Beard finished second in the 200-meter IM with a time of 2:49.57.
Up Next
The Dutchmen will be back inside the Arnold Sports Center next Saturday against Hood College. The team will honor their seniors prior to the 1 p.m. start against the Blazers.
