ANNVILLE, Pa – The Lebanon Valley College field hockey team put together a strong defensive showing on Saturday against visiting Montclair State University on Arnold Field in a 1-0 battle that was won by the Red Hawks.
MSU (4-4) scored the only goal of the game in the third quarter as Carlie Van Tassel taped in a rebound. The Dutchmen (3-6) dominated possession in the fourth quarter looking for the equalizer but were unable to get a ball into the back of the cage.

The Dutchmen will be off during the week before traveling to Hood College next Saturday for a 1 p.m. start in an important Middle Atlantic Conference Commonwealth battle.
