FREDERICK, Md. – Sorrell Long assisted on the first two goals of the game and then scored in the third quarter to give the Lebanon Valley field hockey team a 4-0 victory at Hood College on Saturday afternoon.
The Dutchmen (4-6, 1-1 MAC Commonwealth) scored a goal in each quarter and the defense was spectacular holding the Blazers (3-7, 0-3 MAC Commonwealth) without a shot on goal to earn their first conference win of the season.
Inside the Box Score
- Alana Antonello scored her second goal of the year and fourth of her career 1:45 into the game off an assist by Long.
- The Dutchmen scored early in the second quarter as Skylar Dise found the back of the cage off a penalty corner attempt for her first goal at LVC. Long once again had the assist on the play.
- Long added to her career-high two assists with a goal of her own 47 seconds into the third quarter. The goal was her second of the year and third of her career.
- Elena Tulli scored her second career goal and first of the season in the fourth quarter.
- LVC outshot the Blazers 22-4 and had a 8-2 advantage in penalty corners.
- The Dutchmen improved to 10-0 all-time against Hood.

Lebanon Valley will be back in action on Wednesday evening at 7 p.m. with a trip to Huntingdon to take on Juniata College.
