HUNTINGDON, Pa. – The Lebanon Valley field hockey team won on the road while recording a shutout for the second consecutive game by defeating Juniata College 3-0 on Wednesday evening at Knox Stadium.
The Dutchmen (5-6) got on the board early with
Alana Antonello scoring in the third minute off an assist by
Emily Kline.
Lexi Ward made it a 2-0 game a few minutes later with a goal in the ninth minute. Kline gave the Dutchmen an insurance goal in the 55th minute to set the final score.
Inside the Box Score
- Kline finished with a goal and an assist recording her 10th career point on her assist in the first quarter. She scored her second goal of the year and fourth of her career in the fourth quarter. Kline put all three of her shots on goal in the game.
- Antonello scored in the opening minutes for the second consecutive game. Her goal was the fifth of her career and third of the year.
- Ward scored her team-leading fourth goal of the year and eighth of her career. She led the team with seven shots including five on goal.
- The Dutchmen outshot the Eagles 18-7 and 13-4 in shots on goal. LVC had a 6-2 advantage in the first quarter and 9-0 in the fourth.
- Kayleigh Kmet made four saves in 53:40 before Devyn Goyette played the final 6:20 and didn't face a shot.
What's Next
The Dutchmen will be back on the road this Saturday with a trip to Chester to take on Widener University in a big conference matchup.
