ANNVILLE, Pa – Rebecca Lane knocked in her third goal of the year for the Lebanon Valley College field hockey team on Wednesday evening against visiting Gettysburg College on Arnold Field in Annville. The Bullets rallied to win 4-1.
Lane gave the Dutchmen the lead with a goal in the fourth minute. The Bullets responded with two goals in the second quarter and two goals in the third quarter to take a 4-1 lead.
Inside the Box Score
- Lane scored her third goal of the year while taking just one shot knocking a loose ball into the back of the cage in the fourth minute.
- Mel Mercado led the team with two shots on goal. Hannah Shirey also took two shots but both of her attempts went just wide and knocked off the side of the cage.
- Kayleigh Kmet made three saves in goal.
- The shot in the game were at a premium and almost even with Gettysburg holding a slim 9-8 advantage.
What's Next
LVC will look to rebound on Saturday when they host Montclair State University at 5 p.m. on Arnold Field.
