CARLISLE, Pa. – The Lebanon Valley College men's tennis team started off the weekend with a huge 6-3 victory over host Dickinson College on Friday afternoon at the Hays Tennis Courts in Carlisle.
The Dutchmen won two of the three doubles matches for the second time this week to start off the day. They then took four of the six singles matches to defeat the Red Devils in the first meeting between the program in 19 years.
Inside the Box Score
- Brendan Byler and Jeffrey Bauer won at second doubles 8-4 while Jesse Beck and Jacob Erb were 8-5 winners at third doubles.
- Byler improved to 4-0 in singles this fall with a 6-1, 6-1 victory at number five.
- Bauer also improved to 4-0 with a 7-6 (7-1), 7-6 (7-6) win at number three singles.
- Justin Schuetz had his second big win of the week at number one singles with a 6-3, 6-3 victory to also improve to 4-0 on the season.
- Jesse Beck needed three sets but still won at number four singles 6-4, 4-6, 6-2.
- LVC won for just the fourth time in 36 matches all-time against Dickinson in a series that dates back to 1915. The meeting was the first between the programs since April 16, 2003.

Lebanon Valley will return to the Shankroff Tennis Center where they will host Susquehanna University on Sunday in their final dual before heading to the ITA Regional Tournament at the end of the month.
