Bethlehem, Pa. – The Lebanon Valley women's soccer team walked away with a 1-1 tie after their season opener at Moravian on Thursday.
 
Lebanon Valley (0-0-1) and Moravian (0-0-1) spent the first half stuck in a back-and-forth battle to go into a scoreless halftime. In the second half, Moravian was the first to break the silence with a goal in the 58^thminute. Sierra Young then responded in the 72^nd minute with a goal to tie the game for the Dutchmen. The game concluded with the tie.

• Young put away the lone goal on the afternoon on her single shot on goal. 
• Allison Sepkovic, Jessica Lingenfelter, Alyssa Peiffer, Kyra Rishell, and Madison Carper each put up a shot on net. 
• Jocelyn Umana stood strong in between the pipes for LVC, making six saves.

The Dutchmen will continue their journey on the road as they travel to face Muhlenberg College on Sunday afternoon. First touch is slated for 1 p.m. in Allentown, Pa.
