Men’s Tennis Sweeps Hood On Senior Day

ANNVILLE, Pa. – The Lebanon Valley College men's tennis finished the regular season unbeaten in conference play with a 9-0 win over Hood College on Saturday afternoon at the Shankroff Tennis Center.
 
The Dutchmen (14-6, 7-0 MAC Commonwealth) honored their seniors prior to their fourth conference sweep of the year. Hood ended their season with an 1-11 overall record and 0-7 mark in conference play.
 
Inside the Box Score
  • Adam Warren and William Harriger were 8-1 winners at number one doubles. Brendan Byler and Nicholas Simon won 8-0 at number two. Brian Ward and Michael Schuetz earned a forfeit victory in the third flight.
  • Harriger and Brian Ward were straight set 6-0, 6-0 winners in singles for the Dutchmen.
  • Justin Schuetz improved to 6-1 in conference play at number one singles with a 6-1, 6-1 victory.
  • Jeffrey Bauer won 6-2, 6-2 at number two singles to improve to 6-1 in conference play.
  • Brady McLucas moved closer to the program record for wins in a season with his 19th in a 6-0, 6-1 victory at number three singles.
  • The Dutchmen wrapped up the sweep as Michael Schuetz earned another forfeit win at number six singles.
  • LVC closed out conference play with an impressive 36-4 record in singles and 18-2 record in doubles.
Who's Next
LVC will be the top seed in this week's conference tournament which starts on Wednesday with the semifinals. The Dutchmen will host fourth-seeded Alvernia University at the Shankroff Tennis Center. Lebanon Valley defeated the Golden Wolves 8-1 in Reading at the beginning of April.
