ANNVILLE, Pa. – The Lebanon Valley College men's tennis team cruised to a 9-0 win over visiting Albright College on Tuesday afternoon at the Shankroff Tennis Center to win their sixth straight match.
The Dutchmen (11-5, 4-0 MAC Commonwealth) stayed unbeaten in conference play dropping just eight total games in the match. LVC swept through the three doubles matches and cruised through the five singles matches that were played.
Inside the Box Score
- Justin Schuetz and Adam Warren were the first doubles pair to finish with an 8-1 win at the top flight. The duo are 7-4 on the year winning their last five matches and are 4-0 in conference play.
- Nicholas Simon and Brian Ward were the next to finish with an 8-2 victory at number three doubles in their first match together. William Harriger and Michael Schuetz completed doubles play with an 8-2 win to improve to 3-1 on the season.
- LVC is 10-2 in doubles play through their first four conference matches with their only losses coming in the number two doubles flight.
- Justin Schuetz won his number one singles match 6-1, 6-0 while Michael Schuetz earned a forfeit win at number six singles. Justin improved to 9-6 on the year and 4-0 in conference winning his last six matches. Michael is also 9-6 and 2-1 in conference.
- Warren, Brednan Byler, and Brady McLucas all earned 6-0, 6-0 victories in their matches. Warren improved to 10-4 overall and 4-0 in conference at number three singles. Byler is 8-8 overall and 3-1 at number four singles in conference play. Mclucas is on an eight-match winning streak and is 14-1 overall having played all four conference matches at number five singles.
- Bauer won his number two singles match 6-1, 6-1 to improve to 10-6 on the season and 4-0 in conference play.
- The Dutchmen are 21-2 in singles during their four conference matches.
- LVC is 15-3-1 against Albright since 2001 but didn't face the Lions since 2018 before today's contest.
Who's Next
LVC will be off for a week before returning to the Shankroff Tennis Center next Wednesday to face Eastern University. First serve is scheduled for 3:30 p.m. in Annville.
