STEVENSON, Md. – The Lebanon Valley College men's tennis team picked up their biggest win of the season so far on Sunday as they went down to Stevenson University and knocked off the defending conference champions 6-3 in Middle Atlantic Conference Commonwealth play.
The Dutchmen (10-5, 3-0 MAC Commonwealth) won their fifth straight match by winning two of the three doubles matches and four of the six singles. The Mustangs (5-9, 2-1 MAC Commonwealth) were handed their first regular season conference loss since Messiah defeated Stevenson 5-4 in 2018. LVC earned their first win over SU since defeating the Mustangs in the MAC Commonwealth semifinals that same year.
Inside the Box Score
- Justin Schuetz and Adam Warren started things off with an 8-7 victory at number one doubles. At number three doubles Jeffrey Bauer and Brady McLucas earned an 8-6 win.
- Schuetz won his number one singles match 6-1, 6-0 for his fifth straight win.
- Bauer won his number two singles match 6-3, 6-4 while Warren cruised to a 6-0, 6-0 win at number three singles.
- McLucas won at fifth singles 6-3, 6-3 to improve to 13-1 on the season in singles.
- The Dutchmen are now 5-6 against Stevenson since 2011 and stay undefeated in conference play.

The Dutchmen return to the Shankroff Tennis Center on Wednesday when they will face Albright College. First serve is scheduled for 3:30 p.m.
