HILTON HEAD, S.C. –
Brady McLucas and
Michael Schuetz both won their singles matches in their only action of the day for the Lebanon Valley men's tennis team in a close 5-4 defeat at the hands of Albion College on Sunday in Hilton Head.
The Dutchmen won two of the three doubles matches but the Britons won four singles matches to win the match 5-4.
Inside the Box Score
- Brendan Byler teamed up with Jeffrey Bauer to win 9-7 in the number two doubles flight. William Harriger and Nicholas Simon won 8-4 at number three doubles.
- McLucas defeated Patrick Smoker at number five singles in three sets. Each student-athlete won a set 6-3 before Mclucas took the third set 10-5.
- Michael Schuetz won his sixth singles match in straight sets 7-5, 6-2.
- Bauer and Adam Warren lost heart-breaking three set matches at second and third singles. Bauer split his first two sets 6-4 before falling 12-10 in the third set. Warren won his first set 6-4, lost his second set on a 7-4 tiebreaker, and then dropped the third set 10-8.
Who's Next
The Dutchmen will be back in action tomorrow morning with a match against Drew University starting at 11:30 a.m. at the Hilton Head Resort.
