HILTON HEAD, S.C. – Junior
Brendan Byler earned two wins on Monday to lead the Lebanon Valley men's tennis team in a 5-4 defeat to Drew University in Hilton Head.
LVC played their third straight close match to begin the spring season. The Rangers won two of the three doubles matches and then the squads split the six singles matches.

- Byler earned his first win of the day at number two doubles as he teamed with Adam Warren to win 8-3. The duo was the first doubles match to finish. He then won a tightly contested match in straight sets at number four singles. Both sets went to tiebreakers with Byler winning by identical 7-5 scores in both tiebreakers.
- Brady McLucas won at number five singles for the second day in a row topping Jack Polvere 6-2, 6-4.
- Justin Schuetz picked up a win at number one singles after his opponent was forced to retire due to injury.
- Jeffrey Bauer lost a close three-setter at number two singles against Dan Blumenthal. Bauer won the first set 6-4 before Blumenthal tied things up with a 6-3 win in the second set. The Ranger earned the match point with a 10-8 third set victory.
Who's Next
LVC will continue their spring break trip in Hilton Head with another match tomorrow morning. The Dutchmen will take on Berry College bright and early at 8:30 a.m. at the Shipyard Racquet Club.
