Men’s Tennis Ends Hilton Head Trip With Win Over Capital

HILTON HEAD, S.C. Adam Warren was a double winner for the Lebanon Valley College men's tennis team on Thursday as the Flying Dutchmen defeated Capital 6-3 at the Shipyard Racquet Club in Hilton Head.
 
The Dutchmen won all three doubles matches and then won three of the six singles matches to end their spring break trip to Hilton Head on a high note.
 
Inside the Box Score
  • Warren won in the number one doubles flight and at number two singles. He teamed with Brendan Byler to win 8-6 in doubles before earning a 6-4, 6-1 victory in singles. He was 2-0 in doubles matches this week when playing with Byler.
  • Justin Schuetz teamed with Jeffrey Bauer in the second doubles flight to win 8-3. The Dutchmen also earned an 8-2 win at number three doubles with William Harriger and Nicholas Simon teaming up for their second win together this week.
  • Brady McLucas finished the week with a 3-1 singles record after a 6-2, 6-3 victory over Colin Welch in the fourth singes flight.
  • Michael Schuetz won a three-set match at number five singles for his second win of the week. 
Who's Next
The squad will return to Annville and prepare for their spring home opener next Saturday. The Dutchmen will host Ursinus College on March 19 at 1 p.m. at the Shankroff Tennis Center.
