ANNVILLE, Pa. – The Lebanon Valley women's basketball team held off a late rally from Alvernia in a 64-52 win in Middle Atlantic Conference Commonwealth play on Wednesday, Feb. 9 in Sorrentino Gymnasium. It's the second straight victory for the Dutchmen.

LVC shot out of the gate, racing to a 22-9 lead after the opening quarter, fueled by Kennedy Kuffa and Kate Fitzpatrick with eight points each. The Dutchmen continued to lead at halftime and through the third quarter.

Alvernia pulled to within 52-48 at 3:40 of the fourth, but three straight buckets by Fitzpatrick, Daelyn Stabler, and Samya Santiague provided some breathing room and stretched the lead back to eight.

Inside the Numbers
  • Fitzpatrick finished with a team-high 17 points. She's scored 10 or more points in nine of her last 10 contests.
  • Stabler scored 14 of her 16 points in the second half to spark the Dutchmen offense down the stretch.
  • Kuffa added eight points, 11 rebounds, and five assists. She has double-figure rebounds in six games.
