HERSHEY, Pa. – Junior
Katie Pounder scored a career-high two goals to give the Lebanon Valley women's ice hockey a 3-2 Senior Day victory over Wilkes University on Friday afternoon in United Collegiate Hockey Conference and Middle Atlantic Conference play at Hersheypark Arena.
The Flying Dutchmen raced out to a 3-0 lead over the Colonels through the first two periods before withstanding a furious third period push by Wilkes.
Cheyenne Wilk began the scoring at 2:04 of the first period with a bullet into the back of the net for her fourth goal of the year. Pounder scored her first goal at 16:26 of the first and then scored the eventual game-winner at 8:14 of the second.
Inside the Numbers
- Abby Radcliffe had the primary assist on both of Pounder's goals to give her six on the season and a program single-season record 15 points.
- Jordan Millam earned her first career win in goal in her collegiate debut. The goaltender made 14 saves after entering the game at the beginning of the second period.
- Shelby Guinard made five saves in the first period.
- Chloe Glass played in her 100th career game for the Flying Dutchmen this afternoon.
- Prior to the game the Dutchmen honored Morgan Sifinski, Jennifer Wilson, Glass, and Olivia Cindrich.

LVC and Wilkes face off again on Sunday, Feb. 20 at 3:30 p.m. at the Toyota Sportsplex in Wilkes-Barre.
