HERSHEY, Pa. – Senior
Justin Hall scored his first two goals of the year and
Blake Tosto added two goals and an assist to give the Lebanon Valley men's ice hockey team a huge 4-1 victory on Friday evening at Hersheypark Arena.
Hall opened up the scoring just 2:21 into the game with a rocket off an assist by
Chris Mingus. He then made it 2-0 in favor of the hosts in the second period with a power play goal. Tosto added goals in the second and third period to give the sophomore 12 on the season. Arcadia scored their goal with a little over three minutes left to set the final score.
Inside the Numbers
- The Dutchmen earned an important three points in the first-ever meeting between the programs. With the win and King's loss to Stevenson earlier in the day, LVC has clinched a spot in the UCHC Tournament heading into the final game of the regular season.
- Ty Franchi was a brick wall in net stopping 39 shots. That is his third-most this year.
- Eric Malcarney recorded two assists while Mingus, Harris Blackwood, Tosto, Brad Viola, and Rais Francis had an assist each.
- Tosto won a team-high 11 faceoffs.
- Prior to the game the Dutchmen honored Hall, Justin Movalli, Austen Zimmerman, Tino Alunni, and Alex Borowiec.
Who's Next
LVC and Arcadia will faceoff again tomorrow night at the Hatfield Ice Arena in Colmar. Puck drop is scheduled for 7:30 pm.
