WILKES-BARRE, Pa. – Antonio Redding had a team-high 12 points while
Collin Jones and
Payton Lewis added 11 points each for the Lebanon Valley men's basketball team at hot-shooting Wilkes University on Saturday afternoon. The host Colonels shot over 48-percent from the floor including knocking down 17 three-pointers to defeat the Dutchmen 97-56.
The Colonels (5-3) built a 39-25 halftime lead scoring the majority of their points from the beyond the arc. Seven of their 13 made field goals in the opening 20 minutes were three-pointers and the Colonels only attempted 10 total shots from inside the arc. LVC shot 40-percent in the first half with
Collin Jones leading the way with seven points while
Ryan Harder had six. Wilkes shot even better in the second half shooting over 50-percent from the field and 59-percent on three-pointers. The Dutchmen did an excellent job getting to the line in the second half taking 17 free throws and making 10 of them.
