HERSHEY, Pa. – The Lebanon Valley women's ice hockey team was downed 4-0 by the Alvernia Golden Wolves on Saturday evening. 
 
Lebanon Valley (1-2-0, 0-2-0 UCHC) held the Golden Wolves defensively until 19:51 in the first period, when Alvernia (3-0-1, 2-0-0 UCHC) netted a power play goal. Both teams battled through the second period to keep the game at a 1-0 stand still going into the third. Alvernia then put away three goals in the first four minutes of the third period to cap off a 4-0 victory over LVC.
 
Inside the Box

• Irina Brady led the Dutchmen with five shots, Brenna Mulcahy followed with four.
• Katrina Strauts led the team in the block category with a career-high of two on the evening.
• Olivia Magneson made 24 saves in cage for the Dutchmen. 
• LVC led in faceoffs going 33-63. Katie Pounder won 12 out of 20 and Tiffany Anderson won eight out of 14.

The Dutchmen will remain at Hersheypark Arena to face Manhattanville on  Friday evening. Puck drop is set for 7 p.m.
