READING, Pa. – Cheyenne Wilk buried her fifth career goal for the Lebanon Valley women's ice hockey team on Friday evening in the first conference game of the year at Alvernia University. The host Golden Wolves edged the Dutchmen 2-1 on their home ice.
LVC got on the board first as Wilk lit the lamp off an assist from
Alexis Oukes for a power-play goal. The Golden Wolves evened the score with a power-play goal of their own near the end of the first period. Alvernia took the season 6:02 into the second period as Abby Reisinger scored an unassisted goal.
Inside the Box Score
- Wilk's fifth career goal was her first goal of the year and second power-play goal of her career. She finished the game with three shots.
- Oukes recorded her second assist of the season and fourth of her career. The sophomore also led the team with two blocked shots.
- Katrina Strauts led the Dutchmen with four shots on goal and won seven faceoffs.
- Katie Pounder won a team-high 12 faceoffs.
- Shelby Guinard made 34 saves in goal.
