ANNVILLE, Pa. – The Lebanon Valley College men's basketball team had four student-athletes score in double figures in a 91-73 defeat to visiting Albright College on Wednesday evening inside Sorrentino Gymnasium in the conference opener.
Albright knocked down 11 three-pointers and shot 56-percent from the field in the field half to build a 55-31 lead. The Lions used a 10-0 run over a span of 4:21 to turn a tie game into a 20-10 lead with 11 minutes to go in the first half.
Collin Jones hit a free throw and then
Evan Smith knocked down a three to cut the lead to six but that was as close as the Dutchmen would get in the first half. The Dutchmen outscored Albright 42-36 in the second half while shooting 48-percent from the field over the final 20 minutes.
Inside the Box Score
- Jones recorded his second double-double of the year with a game-high 19 points and a game-high 13 rebounds. The senior pulled down 10 defensive rebounds.
- Antonio Redding came off the bench and gave the Dutchmen 11 points knocking down a trio of three-pointers and recording a steal.
- Ryan Harder and Kegan Hertz had 10 point each. Harder added six rebounds while Hertz had two dunks in the game.
- Evan Smith knocked down a pair of threes and finished with eight points and four rebounds.
- Kyle Tang had seven points, five rebounds, and two assists.
- The Dutchmen had a season-high 13 offensive rebounds.
