HERSHEY, Pa. – The Lebanon Valley women's ice hockey team took a hard-fought 4-0 defeat to the SUNY Morrisville Mustangs on Sunday afternoon.
The Mustangs landed their first tally on the score board at the 1:25 mark in the first period, and then followed with their second goal at 11:41. SUNY Morrisville then snuck one more goal in at 19:02 to take the 3-0 lead going into the second period. In the second period, the Mustangs put their fourth goal away at 15:41 to take the 4-0 lead going into the third. Lebanon Valley (1-8-0 Overall, 0-6-0 UCHC, 0-2-0 MAC) came out strong defensively in the third period, holding the Mustangs scoreless. The Dutchmen fell to the Mustangs 4-0.
Inside the Box
- Katrina Strauts and Tiffany Anderson led the shots column for LVC, each putting up three on the afternoon.
- Ioanna Christou notched two shots, while leading the team with four blocks on the afternoon.
- Alexis Oukes and Katie Pounder each blocked three shots. Pounder also was a huge contributor on the faceoff, winning 11 of the 23 LVC had won in the matchup.
- Shelby Guinard stood in goal for the Dutchmen and made 40 saves on the afternoon.

The Dutchmen will remain at Hersheypark Arena for a UCHC and MAC match up against King's College (Pa.). Puck drop is slated for 4 p.m.
