SELINSGROVE, Pa. – Senior
Collin Jones scored 25 points to lead the Lebanon Valley men's basketball team on Saturday afternoon in a tough 72-68 defeat to Washington & Lee University at the National Beef Susquehanna Tip-Off Tournament.
The General jumped out to a 9-2 lead in the first couple minutes and managed to build the lead up to 13 points following a three pointer with 11:08 left in the half. The Dutchmen fought back and cut the lead down to eight going into halftime. The teams battled bucket for bucket to begin the second half before LVC went on a run to bring the score to 63-59 with just over four minutes to play. A
Payton Lewis three cut the lead to one point and then Jones scored on a layup to give the Dutchmen their first lead since the opening basketball of the game. Washington & Lee responded with a three-pointer with 24 seconds left to retake the lead. The Dutchmen had a chance to tie the game in the final 10 seconds but a jumper by
Evan Smith just rimmed out and the Generals grabbed the rebound.

- Jones had a season-high 25 points and grabbed five boards.
- Lewis had another strong game filling the stat sheet with 12 points, six rebounds, five assists, and three steals.
- Kegan Hertz had eight points on four-of-six from the field.
- Nine different Dutchmen scored at least two points and all 10 Dutchmen who played grabbed a rebound in the game.
