Women’s Soccer Shuts Out Alvernia

ANNVILLE, Pa. – The Lebanon Valley women's soccer team shutout the Golden Wolves of Alvernia 3-0 on Wednesday afternoon.
 
The first goal for Lebanon Valley (3-3-3, 2-0 MAC Commonwealth) came from Darrian Berkheimer in the 73rdminute. Berkheimer's goal was assisted by a passing sequence from Kaitlyn Brumbaugh and Sierra Young. In the 80th minute of the match up Alyssa Peiffer put her third goal of the season away off a ball from Young. Emma Houck finished off the victory for LVC with a goal in the 87th minute to secure the 3-0 win. 
 
Inside the Box
  • Four Dutchmen had two-point afternoons in the contest. Berkheimer, Peiffer, and Houck each put up a goal, while Young dished out her first two collegiate assists. 
  • Kaitlyn Brumbaugh put up a one-point game with an assist. 
  • Berkheimer, Peiffer, and Young each put up two shots on net. 
  • Jessica Lingenfelter, Kyra Rishell, Jordan Lasky, and Houck each contributed one shot on goal.
  • Jocelyn Umana put up four saves in the contest to slot another shutout for LVC.

The Dutchmen will stay in Annville, Pa. and host the Widener University Pride on Saturday afternoon. First touch is set for 1 p.m.
