HERSHEY, Pa. – The Lebanon Valley men's hockey team fell to the SUNY Morrisville Mustangs 5-1 on Saturday evening.
Lebanon Valley (0-2-0) came out strong defensively to hold the Mustangs scoreless going into the second period. The Mustangs put up their first goal in the first minute of the second period with a powerplay goal and followed with a second goal in the 4
th minute to take the 2-0 lead. Dylan Miller responded with a goal in the 13
th minute with assists from Atrem Mikhaylov and
Cade Freerto make it a 2-1 game. The Mustangs then came back with two more goals to take the 4-1 lead into the third period. Despite all efforts from the Dutchmen in the third period, the Mustangs put one more goal away to top off their 5-1 defeat over LVC.
Inside the Box
- Three Dutchmen had one-point evenings. Miller tallied his first collegiate goal, while Mikhaylov and Free dished out an assist.
- Blake Tosto and Brenden Yingling led the shots column with four shots a piece. Max Loga and Jared Stevenson followed with three.
- Eric Malcarney led the blocks category with four in the contest. Mac Diver, Haralds Jirgens, and Jordan Stear each notched two blocks.
- Gabriel Pigeon stopped 32 shots in cage for Lebanon Valley.

The Dutchmen will stay at Hersheypark Arena to host their first United Collegiate Hockey Conference matchup of the season against Nazareth on Friday evening. First face off is slotted for 7 p.m.
