ANNVILLE, Pa. – The Lebanon Valley men's soccer team fell in a hard-fought battle to No. 2 Messiah on Herbert Field on Tuesday afternoon. The team recognized its senior class prior to the contest.
Lebanon Valley (7-8-2, 2-3-2 MAC Commonwealth) played a strong defense holding the Falcons to a scoreless first half, walking into halftime 0-0. Messiah (16-0-1, 7-0-0 MAC Commonwealth) got on the board first with a goal in the 56
th minute.
Aaron Weitzel put LVC on the board with a goal in the 69
th minute. The goal game from a rebound after a shot he put on goal a few seconds prior. Despite LVC's strong defensive efforts the throughout the match, the Flacons put away a goal in the 85
th minute to walk away with a 2-1 win over the Dutchmen.
