Volleyball Win Streak Hits Five After Two Wins At Misericordia

DALLAS, Pa. – The Lebanon Valley volleyball team defeated Mount Saint Mary and host Misericordia University on Saturday afternoon at the Anderson Center in Dallas to run their win streak to five matches. The Dutchmen swept the Knights 3-0 before taking down the Cougars 3-1.
 
Game 1 vs. Mount Saint Mary
LVC cruised in the first two sets winning 25-12 and 25-13 behind strong hitting. The Knights got off to a fast start in the third set building a 9-4 lead. The Dutchmen scored 15 of the next 20 points to take a 19-14 advantage. Mount Saint Mary refused to quit and were able to cut the deficit down to 22-19 before LVC closed out the match.
 
Inside the Box Score Game 2 vs. Misericordia
The Dutchmen and Cougars played a very tight first two sets with LVC coming away with a 29-27 win in set one and then dropping the second set 25-23. The third and fourth sets belonged to Lebanon Valley as the Dutchmen won 25-18 and 25-15 to hand the Cougars their first home loss this season.

  • The Dutchmen had a .341 hitting percentage and recorded a season-high 61 kills.
  • Whitworth assisted on 44 of kills and recorded six kills.
  • Heffer had another great match with 11 kills. McInerney led the team with 29 kills.
  • Julia Rill had a team-high nine digs.

LVC will play their final two home matches of the season this week starting on Wednesday evening when Albright College makes the trip to Annville.
