10/10/2022 4:06:00 PM

ANNVILLE, Pa. – Lebanon Valley College junior Jeremy Bours Jr. was honored for his excellent play this weekend by the Middle Atlantic Conference (MAC) office by being named the Football Special Teams Player of the Week.

Bours celebrated his birthday by leading a strong special teams day for the Dutchmen in a 47-12 win at Misericordia. The junior blocked two punts, returned a punt, and punted three times. His first blocked punt inside the Misericordia 10-yard line was returned by Logan Grauer for a touchdown giving LVC a 33-6 lead. He then blocked a second punt in the fourth quarter giving the Dutchmen possession at the Misericordia 28. His punt return went for eight yards. Bours handled the punting duties for the Dutchmen and had three punts for 129 yards with an average of 43 yards. He had a 67-yard punt that was downed at the Misericordia 13. His punt was three yards shy of the school record for the longest punt.

The weekly award is the first for Bours in his career and fourth of the season for LVC. He becomes the second Dutchman to earn Special Teams Player of the Week honors this year.

Lebanon Valley will be back on Arnold Field for the first time in three weeks this Saturday hosting Delaware Valley University at 1 p.m.
