Game Recap: Men's Ice Hockey |

Power-Play Goals Lead Men's Hockey to 4-2 Win

HERSHEY, Pa.Mark Kishko scored the game-winning goal to send Lebanon Valley men's ice hockey to a 4-2 victory over Nazareth in United Collegiate Hockey Conference action on Saturday, Jan. 22 at Hersheypark Arena.

After a flurry of activity in front of the net, Kishko swooped in from the left wing and found the back of the net. The goal at 12:00 of the third gave the Dutchmen a 3-2 lead.

First-year goalie Ty Franchi and the defense then came to the rescue, killing off a three-minute power play before Nazareth took its own penalty, surrendering the advantage. Franchi finished with 29 saves to earn the win in his first career start.

  • Just 30 seconds into the third period, Tosto knocked home a power-play goal at the net to knot the game at 2-2.

Coach Says
"It's good to get a win under our belt. We've been working hard trying to find an identity. The guys went out and did a great job with the systems. They worked hard, worked smart. It was great throwing Ty Franchi in there, getting him his first win. We hope to turn this into a snowball effect, start winning some games, getting into playoff contention," said head coach Don Parsons.
