FREDERICK, Md. – Cayla Sydow and Sierra Young scored a pair of top finishes as the Lebanon Valley women's swim team lost a tight meet at Hood, 129-103, on Saturday, Jan. 15. LVC's men's team fell 194-46 to the Blazers.
 
Sydow captured the 200 backstroke (2:26.82) and 200 IM (2:30.62).
 
For the second consecutive meet, Young won the 50 free with a time of 25.99—less than half a second ahead of the next swimmer—and the 100 butterfly.
 
In another exciting finish, Courtney Betsock placed first in the 200 breaststroke in 2:46.39 with a margin of just .05 seconds. She also reached MAC-qualifying time in the 50 free.

Additional MAC qualifiers included Jordyn Grossman in the 100 free and Jake Beidler in the 200 breaststroke.

In the men's meet, Hood took the top spot in each event.
