READING, Pa. – Lebanon Valley's Kate Fitzpatrick led all scorers with 20 points as Alvernia defeated the Flying Dutchmen 66-58 in a Middle Atlantic Conference Commonwealth battle on Wednesday, Jan. 12.
 
Jaime Youngkin added her first double-double of the season with 10 points and 10 rebounds for the Dutchmen. Cristina Fernandez finished with 14 points.
 
Alvernia's Kayla Williams led three Golden Wolves in double figures.
 
LVC falls to 7-9 (2-5 MACC), while Alvernia improves to 7-6 (1-4 MACC).
 
Inside the Numbers

• It was Fitzpatrick's third consecutive outing in double digits and sixth in nine games this season.
• LVC won the battle in the paint, scoring 38 to Alvernia's 28.
• Alvernia shot 55% from three-point range, making 10-of-18 attempts.

LVC has a week off before returning home to host Eastern on Wednesday, Jan. 19 at 6 p.m. as part of a doubleheader with the men's squad.
