Stevenson 3, Lebanon Valley 1 (25-20, 24-26, 25-15, 25-17)
OWINGS MILLS, Md. – The Lebanon Valley Volleyball team fell 3-1 at Stevenson University Tuesday evening in MAC Commonwealth action. The Dutchmen fall to 7-6, 1-2 MACC following the loss while the Mustangs jump to 11-3, 3-1 MACC.
How It Happened
- The Mustangs jumped ahead early in the first set over the Dutchmen and would grab a 25-20 first set win to take a 1-0 lead in the match. The Dutchmen would battle back in the second set though, drawing the match back even with a 26-24 win in a tiebreaker.
- The final two sets were controlled by the Mustangs with Stevenson winning fairly comfortably in the last two sets to take the match.
Inside The Numbers
- Mikiah Sangrey led all players with 18 kills for the Dutchmen. Reily Shelly added 13 kills, second most for the contest.
- Ali Whitworth chipped in with 29 assists and 14 digs. Kasey Thomas led the Dutchmen in digs with 16.
- Stevenson's Kayla Vaeth led all players with 25 digs in the Mustangs' win.
- Stevenson finished with a .257 attack percentage while LVC posted a .114.
Who's Next?
The Dutchmen are off this weekend before continuing conference play next Wednesday with a home matchup against Hood College. Game time is scheduled for 7 p.m.
