Series History
The Dutchmen and Monarchs meet for the 20th time on Saturday afternoon. LVC owns a 10-9 overall record against King's, however the Monarchs have won the last two meetings, with their most-recent victory coming on Sept. 16, 2017.

Last Time We Faced King's
(FULL RECAP) Back on Sept. 16, 2017, LVC dropped a heartbreaking 44-39 game to King's in the last minute on Arnold Field.

Trailing 38-32 with 3:01 to play, Ryan Fink found the back of the endzone off a rush to give the Dutchmen a 39-32 lead. King's, however, raced down the field on its ensuing drive and faced a 4th-and-1 at LVC's 31-yard line with 1:04 to go and converted to keep the Monarchs' hopes alive.

Later, with 25 seconds to go, QB Zach Whitehead ran for the go-ahead score to put King's on top and eventually give the Monarchs the win.

Last Week vs. Widener
(FULL RECAP) LVC was stifled by Widener University and fell 24-3 this past Saturday in each team's MAC opener.

At 13:56 of the second frame, the Pride put together another long drive that resulted in points. Widener used Shawn Thompson on the ground five times and the drive was highlighted by Harris' 22-yard completion to Holbert, as Larry Eimer knocked through a 20-yard field goal to increase Widener's lead to 10-3 with 7:26 left in the second.

LVC couldn't get anything going offensively on its next drive, but on the Pride's next drive, Harris' pass on 2nd and 17 at LVC's 48-yard line was picked off by Erik Williams, who returned it 17 yards with just 31 seconds left in the second. Williams' interception kept the Dutchmen within seven at 10-3 heading into halftime.

Widener's first series of the third quarter ended like their last drive in the second after Williams once again picked off Harris and returned it 21 yards all the way to Widener's 34-yard line. Unfortunately, Bohannon's pass on LVC's next drive was intercepted by Anthony Jordan and he took it 12 yards to the Dutchmen's 46-yard line.

The Pride turned an LVC turnover into points, as Harris found Tevin Hill for 11 yards with 6:08 to go in the third, putting Widener ahead 17-3.

It looked like the Dutchmen were getting the ball back early in the fourth, but a muffed punt by LVC led to a Bryce Casey eight-yard touchdown for the Pride with 12:40 left in the game to make it a 24-3 contest. From there, the Dutchmen were unable to generate any more points, as Widener's defense made it tough for LVC all day, resulted in the 24-3 defeat.

Previewing with Coach Buehler
Head Lebanon Valley Football Coach Joe Buehler '89 sat down to recap the Dutchmen's MAC opener at Widener and previewed this Saturday's home game vs. King's.

Coach to Cure MD Game
On Saturday, the Dutchmen coaching staff will participate in LVC's 11th-annual Coach to Cure MD game in an effort by the American Football Coaches Association (AFCA) to raise funds for research in Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy. Other AFCA members around the country will wear a Coach to Cure MD logo patch on the sidelines and LVC's coaches will do the same on Saturday afternoon.

Honorary Captain
During Saturday's pregame activities and opening coin toss, 15-year old Levi Hains will join LVC's team captains to serve as an honorary captain. Hains, a ninth-grader in South Lebanon, will be serving as captain for the 11th season.

LVC's Offense
After three weeks of action, Braden Bohannon continues to help the Dutchmen with his arm and legs. So far, he's LVC's leading rusher with 193 yards in three games, while Tim Ervey has rushed for 39 yards thus far.

Bohannon has thrown for 333 yards in three games and has tossed two touchdown passes.

Cameron Niemeyer is LVC's leading receiver and has caught 12 passes for 128 yards.

LVC's Defense
On the defensive side of the ball, Brandon Brubaker, who was named to D3football.com's Team of the Week after Week 1, leads the squad with 26 total tackles and 4.5 tackles for loss, while Dillon Estes has 25 for the Dutchmen. LVC's solo-tackle leader is Ryan Gibney with 14, and not far behind is Erik Williams at 12. Williams had a special game last week at Widener after coming away with a pair of interception.

LVC's Special Teams
Last week at Widener, Kevin Roberts knocked through a 40-yard field goal for LVC. In the fourth quarter, the Dutchmen had another key play on special teams when Ben Siegfried blocked the Pride's 20-yard field goal attempt.

LVC now has three blocked kicks in three games this season, with two coming against Franklin & Marshall in the Dutchmen's season-opening victory.

Scouting King's
King's comes into today's game with a 1-1 overall mark and an 0-1 MAC record. On Sept. 4, the Monarchs defeated Moravian 13-10, and after their early bye week, King's dropped a 28-8 decision to Lycoming this past Saturday.

The Monarchs get points through the air, as the team has just 56 rushing yards through two games, compared to 502 passing yards in two contests.

Who's Next?
LVC is idle next Saturday and returns to action on Saturday, Oct. 9 when the Dutchmen welcome FDU-Florham to Arnold Field. Kickoff is set for noon.
