ANNVILLE, Pa. – The Lebanon Valley Women's Soccer team scored four goals in their first win of the season in a rout of King's in a MAC crossover game on Saturday afternoon. LVC improves to 1-3-1 while the Monarchs drop to 0-2.
How It Happened
- After multiple high-quality scoring chances in the first half, Kaitlyn Brumbaugh would send a low pass from the right wing in to Maddy Hartman who would put the Dutchmen on the board in the 37th minute.
- LVC would double their lead just under three minutes later when Tylee Stauffer would sneak a shot into the bottom-right corner of the goal, giving LVC a 2-0 advantage.
- Coming out of halftime, Madison Carper would flick an Emma Houck pass into the side of the net to put LVC up 3-0 in the 51st minute.
- With the Dutchmen in complete control, LVC's offense wasn't finished yet as Alyssa Yoder scored the fourth goal of the contest as the Dutchmen would cruise to the 4-0 victory.
Inside The Numbers
- Four different players scored goals for the Dutchmen. Maddy Hartman, Tylee Stauffer, and Alyssa Yoder all recorded their first career goals.
- Madison Carper scored her second goal of the season, which leads the squad.
- Jocelyn Umana made five saves in her first career clean sheet.
- The Dutchmen outshot the Monarchs 21-7 and 13-5 on goal.
- LVC held a 7-3 advantage in corner kicks.
Who's Next?
The Dutchmen have a quick turnaround as they are on the road Tuesday at DeSales their next time out. Game time is scheduled for 4 p.m. in Center Valley, Pa.
