Lebanon Valley 3, Penn State Berks 1 (25-27, 25-19, 25-19, 25-22)
SCRANTON, Pa. – The Lebanon Valley Volleyball team picked up a pair of wins at the Marywood Tri-Match on Friday evening. LVC picked up a 3-1 win over Penn State Berks to start the night and would follow that up with a 3-0 sweep over Marywood in the nightcap. LVC improves to 5-5 on the season while the Lions drop to 5-6 and the Pacers down to 5-6 as well.
How It Happened
- The two teams started the match with a first set that needed to go into extra points as the teams were tied at 25. Berks would end up edging the Dutchmen in the first set by taking the final three points of the match.
- LVC would answer with back-to-back 25-19 sets to pull ahead 2-1 in the match. The Dutchmen only trailed once during those two sets and that came in the third set when Berks led 1-0.
- The fourth set went back-and-forth but late in the set when LVC trailed 22-21, the Dutchmen would rattle off four straight points to take the final set 25-22 and clinch the 3-1 victory.

How It Happened
- The Dutchmen dominated the Pacers from the first serve. LVC jumped out to an early lead and kept growing that advantage until winning the first set 25-13.
- After a convincing second-set victory, LVC would double up the Pacers and win the final set by 14 points by a 25-11 score to complete a dominant sweep.

The Dutchmen return home Thursday evening when they host Penn State Harrisburg in non-conference action. Game time in Sorrentino is scheduled for 7 p.m.
