ANNVILLE, Pa. – Lebanon Valley's Men's Tennis team dropped a 7-2 match to first-place Stevenson in the final home match of the regular season on Wednesday afternoon. The Dutchmen fall to 6-2, 3-2 MACC while the Mustangs improve to 5-2, 4-0 MACC.
The Dutchmen won one of the three doubles matches which gave Stevenson the 2-1 lead headed into singles play. The lone win in doubles for LVC came at #2 doubles as they duo of
Brendan Byler and
Jeffrey Bauer picked up an 8-4 victory.
In singles play, the Mustangs took five of the six matches. LVC picked up a win at #4 singles as
Luke Senft was victorious in a three-set match. After dropping the first set 6-3, Senft won the second set 6-4 followed by the tiebreaker 10-6. A narrow loss was at #2 singles for Byler who won the first set 6-4 but fell in the final two to come up just short.
