ANNVILLE, Pa. – Lebanon Valley's Men's Tennis team swept York (Pa.) 5-0 in the MAC Commonwealth quarterfinals on Tuesday evening. The Dutchmen improve their record to 7-2 while the Spartans finish their season at 1-8.
The Dutchmen swept all three doubles matches to start the evening. At #1 doubles,
Ben Hinkley and
Luke Senft won a back-and-forth match 8-5 after pulling away late and winning the final two games when the match was tight at 6-5.
William Harriger and
Jeffrey Bauer picked up an 8-3 win at #2 doubles while
Jonathan Yenser and
Brendan Byler cruised to an 8-2 victory at #3 doubles to give LVC the commanding 3-0 lead overall.
The Dutchmen needed just two singles victories and got them first from Bauer and Yenser. Bauer at #3 singles took care of business with a 6-1, 6-0 win. Yenser won by the same score at #6 singles to clinch the overall victory and lift LVC to advance to the semifinals.

The Flying Dutchmen advance to the MAC Commonwealth semifinals with the win today. They will travel to Grantham, Pa. to take on Messiah tomorrow at 4 p.m.
