How It Happened
ANNVILLE, Pa. – Lebanon Valley's Men's Lacrosse Team dropped a 12-5 decision to Hood College on Saturday afternoon in Middle Atlantic Conference (MAC) Commonwealth Men's Lacrosse action. The Flying Dutchmen finished the regular season with a 5-7 overall mark and 2-5 record in conference action, while the Blazers moved to 4-3, 3-2 MACC.

Evan Crawford,
Robert Meisenhelter,
Evan Federowicz,
Brandon Vance,
Josh Croyle,
Mason Klaus,
Luke Tamberino, and
Mason Jerden, as well as team manager
Maggie McDonald and the Dutchmen's two seniors from last year,
Trevor Holak and
Courtland Hackel.
The Blazers were the first to find the back of the net this afternoon when their leading-scorer, Bentley LeBarron, scored an unassisted goal at 11:23 of the first. Later, with 6:56 left,
Jake Bollinger netted an up-goal from
Carson Frey to even the game at 1-1. After Hood's Kyle Scott made it 2-1 in favor of the visitors,
Kyle Golden scored his second of the season to tie things up again early on in the second.
From there, Hood held the Dutchmen off the scoreboard for the remainder of the half and netted a pair of goals by Will Sweeney and LeBarron to take a 4-2 advantage into third-quarter action.
The Blazers picked up where they left off at the end of the second and netted three consecutive goals to begin third-quarter action to go up 7-2. Croyle then stopped the spurt with a goal from Fisher, and with 45 seconds remaining in the third, Federowicz scored from
Jake Bollinger, but LVC still found itself down 7-4 heading into the final period.
The Blazers began the fourth with back-to-back tallies, but
Alex Kiviniemi scored at 13:10 to make it 9-5 and keep the Dutchmen within striking distance. Unfortunately, Hood netted two more and held LVC scoreless for the remaining 9:43 and went on to win 12-5.
Inside the Numbers
- Bollinger finished with a goal and two assists to go along with two caused turnovers.
- Fisher had a pair of assists for LVC.

Nick Serrano made 14 saves in 55:30 of action. Vance played 3:34 and made three saves, while Jerden played the final 0:56 and stopped one shot.

Ben Weathersby scooped up a team-high six ground balls.
- Kiviniemi scored a goal and picked up three ground balls.
- Tamberino caused a pair of turnovers and scooped up a ground ball.
- Hood's Bentley LeBarron scored four goals on 12 shots.
- The Blazers led in total shots (42-30) and shots on goal (30-16).
- LVC was 20-for-25 in clears and Hood went 21-for-28.
Who's Next?
LVC is locked in at the No. 6 seed for next week's 2021 MAC Commonwealth Championship Tournament and will travel to No. 3 Eastern on Saturday, May 1 in the quarterfinal round.
