How It Happened
ANNVILLE, Pa. – Lebanon Valley's men's lacrosse team fell behind early against the Misericordia Cougars and never could gain their footing as they fell 23-6 in MAC crossover action. LVC falls to 4-2 overall on the season while the Cougars improve to 4-2 on the year.
The Cougar offense had it going from the opening faceoff as they would score four goals in the first quarter while shutting out LVC to hold an early comfortable lead. LVC would get on the board with a pair of goals, one by
Michael Fisher and the other by
Jake Bollinger, early in the second quarter and cut into the deficit at 5-2 with 11:13 remaining in the half. Misericordia would respond with the final seven goals of the half to take a 12-2 advantage into half.
Misericordia's offense kept it rolling in the third quarter extending their consecutive goal streak to 11 to grab a 16-2 lead before an
Alex Kiviniemi goal would temporarily stop the bleeding. LVC could never figure out how to stop the Cougar attack as they eventually fell 23-6.
