M. Hockey Falls at Chatham

How It Happened
PITTSBURGH, Pa. – The Lebanon Valley men's ice hockey team fell 3-1 to Chatham University in UCHC action on Friday night. The Dutchmen fall to 2-2-2, 2-2-2 UCHC on the season while the Cougars improve to 5-4, 5-2 UCHC.

It was the Cougars who would kick off the scoring just 4:22 into the contest when Kenneth Gill was able to fire the puck top shelf to take an early 1-0 lead. LVC would respond right away with a Darion Benchich strike just 63 seconds later to bring the game back even at 1-1. Later in the first, Chatham's Carson Grainer would finish off an offensive possession for the Cougars with a go-ahead goal to give Chatham a 2-1 lead after one period.

The teams would play a scoreless second frame and LVC still trailed by one with 20 minutes left to go in regulation. Chatham would tack on a big insurance goal 3:41 into the third period and the Cougar defense would hold the Dutchmen scoreless as LVC would fall 3-1.

The Dutchmen will return to the ice on Sunday when they host Stevenson University. Puck drop is slated for 6 p.m. in Hersheypark Arena.
