How It Happened
ANNVILLE, Pa. – Lebanon Valley held on to defeat Albright 7-4 in game one of a doubleheader on Sunday afternoon in Middle Atlantic Conference (MAC) Baseball action.

Similar to yesterday, the Flying Dutchmen put up a crooked number in an inning, this time in the second, beginning when Michael Leri scored on a balk. Then, Luke Blair singled home Mike Bulgia, followed by Conor Smith's bases-clearing triple to right-center that put the home team on top 5-0.

With Brendan Ward shutting down Albright's offense, Leri added to LVC's lead in the bottom of the fourth when he singled home Bryan Towers. The Lions, however, didn't go away quietly in this game and Daubert sac-fly made it 6-1 in the top of the sixth, but the Dutchmen got it back in the bottom of the frame off Chris DeClerico's RBI-double to center field. LVC ran into some trouble in the top of the seventh, as Jacavage singled up the middle, followed by Daubert's two-RBI double to center field that made it 7-4. After that, however, Daymond Zweizig struck out Thomas to end the game, preserving LVC's 7-4 win.

How It Happened
In game two of this afternoon's doubleheader at McGill Field, the Dutchmen left no doubt thanks to a nine-run sixth inning in LVC's dominant 17-4 win over the Lions. LVC now sits at 4-2, 4-0 MACC, while Albright slipped to 0-5, 0-4 MACC.

LVC began its onslaught in the bottom of the second when Andrew Miles doubled home Bulgia to make it 1-0. Then, Ethan Hurd's single up the middle plated Miles, followed by Towers' double to left that made it 3-0. Then, in the bottom of the third, Bulgia's triple down the right-field line scored Nico Santoro to make it a 4-0 game.

The Dutchmen continued to pour it in in the fourth and plated four more runs to go up 8-0, but in the bottom of the sixth, LVC sent 15 players to plate and scored nine runs to take an overwhelming lead. The Lions tacked on two in the top of the sixth, one in the eight, and another in the ninth, but it wasn't nearly enough, as LVC cruised to a 17-4 victory.

Inside the Numbers (Game Two)
 - Hurd went 3-for-4 at the dish with a game-high three RBI.
 - Towers went 2-for-3 and Santoro was 2-for-3 with two RBI and two runs scored.
 - Tommy Moore Jr. got the start on the bump and tossed four innings and allowed just two hits with six strikeouts.
 - Michael Williams relieved Moore Jr. and tossed an inning to earn the win.
