How It Happened
GRANTHAM, Pa. – The Lebanon Valley women's basketball team dropped their 2021 season opener 73-38 at Messiah University on Thursday evening.
Messiah came out of the gates hot as they poured in 23 points in the opening frame on an impressive 55% shooting from the floor. LVC made just four buckets and found themselves down 14 in a flash as the offense could never get clicking. The Dutchmen attack was held at bay all night as the Falcon defense held LVC to 23.6% shooting for the game.
After doubling up LVC 34-17 at intermission, the Falcons would continue to extend their lead with a 39-21 advantage in the second half to put away the Dutchmen.
