Neither team was particularly sharp on the offensive end to start the game as the first point wasn't scored until a Megan Zimmerman free throw two and a half minutes into the contest. The game didn't see its first field goal until the 5:06 mark of the opening quarter when

Messiah would put some room between them and the Dutchmen in the second, holding LVC to 14.3% shooting in the frame and the Falcons outscored LVC 20-7 to take a 16-point lead into halftime. The Dutchmen would never quite get within striking distance in the second half as LVC dropped their second game in as many nights to the Falcons. Â
