ANNVILLE, Pa. – The Lebanon Valley Women's Basketball team picked up a hard-fought 42-37 win over Stevenson in a defensive struggle on Wednesday evening in MAC Commonwealth action. The Dutchmen improve to 6-4, 2-1 MACC on the season while the Mustangs fall to 2-5, 1-2 MACC.

How It Happened
  • The game started with the Mustangs taking quick control of the game as they held the Dutchmen offense in check for a majority of the opening period. The Mustangs opened up a 15-3 lead with a little over one minute in the quarter. LVC would rattle off five quick points to close out the frame and pull within seven.
  • The Dutchmen offense got rolling in the second quarter as they outscored Stevenson 14-6 to head into halftime leading by one, 22-21.
  • The third quarter was a back-and-forth frame where neither offense could gain much momentum as the two teams combined for just 14 points. LVC held a slim 30-27 advantage as the game headed into the final period.
  • LVC's defense really clamped down the Mustang attack as the Dutchmen held Stevenson without a point until a fast-break layup with 1:35 to play in regulation. By that point, the Dutchmen had pushed their lead out to double digits and would cruise to the 42-37 win.
