YORK, Pa. – The Lebanon Valley Men's Basketball team were dropped by York (Pa.) in the first ever meeting as conference opponents 73-60 on Saturday afternoon. The Dutchmen fall to 4-4, 1-1 MACC on the season while the Spartans improve to 4-3, 1-1 MACC.

How It Happened
  • The Spartans jumped ahead of the Dutchmen quickly to start the game as York opened up a 16-7 run using four three-pointers in the first six minutes. The Dutchmen would get back into the game with a 15-7 run to pull themselves back within one at 23-22 with 7:27 remaining in the first half.
  • The Dutchmen led 28-27 with 4:30 following before halftime but the Spartans would rattle off 14 unanswered points to close out the frame and led 41-28 at the break.
  • The second half was mostly controlled by York as they pushed their lead up to 21 in the opening minutes at 57-36. LVC would spend most of the second half battling back but would only get as close as 11 points as they would fall 73-60 at York.
Inside The Numbers
  • Zach Tucker finished with 14 points; his first basket made him the 37th player in program history to reach 1,000 career points.
  • Collin Jones led LVC with 17 points and Evin Timochenko also chipped in with 14 points and nine rebounds.
  • York's Logan Collins led all players with 22 points, knocking down five three-pointers.
  • The Spartans hit 11 three-point shots while the Dutchmen hit just two.
  • LVC committed 19 turnovers while the Spartans turned it over 13 times.
Who's Next?
The Dutchmen are back home their next time out as they host Stevenson in MAC Commonwealth action on Wednesday. Tip-off is scheduled for 8 p.m. in Sorrentino Gymnasium.
