Nazareth 3, Lebanon Valley 0
ROCHESTER, N.Y. – The Lebanon Valley Men's Ice Hockey team dropped a 3-0 contest at Nazareth in UCHC action on Friday evening. The Dutchmen fall to 1-2, 0-1 UCHC with the loss while the Golden Flyers improve to 1-2, 1-0 UCHC with the win.
How It Happened
- After a first period that was a defensive struggle for a majority of the time, Nazareth finally broke free with just under two and a half minutes to go before the first intermission when Cole Moore capitalized on a Golden Flyer power play chance to give Nazareth a 1-0 lead headed into the first intermission.
- The first period was a physical one between the two sides as each team committed three penalties in the opening 20 minutes.
- The two teams would clean things up in the second period with only one penalty per side and neither team's offense able to generate anything, keeping the score 1-0 in favor of the Golden Flyers with just 20 minutes to play in regulation.
- Nazareth would grab a big insurance tally just 1:20 into the third period to double their advantage. The Golden Flyers would add a late score with just 35 ticks left to put the game out of reach as the Dutchmen fell 3-0 in their UCHC opener.
