LVC converted a big fourth down on the drive and a Braden Bohannon 20-yard pass to Cameron Niemeyer would result in the go-ahead score for the Dutchmen and they would take the 17-14 lead into halftime.
3rd Quarter
- In the third quarter, neither offense could get going early on as the two sides combined for multiple giveaways and turnover on downs. At the midway point of the third, the LVC ground game would take over as the Dutchmen went 60 yards on six rushing plays capped by a six-yard TD by Ervey, LVC led 24-17 following an early field goal by the Cougars.
