How It Happened
- The Dutchmen would fall behind early in the opening half as the offense struggled to get going early, trailing Elizabethtown 8-5. - The two teams would trade buckets for the remainder of the first half but the Dutchmen would never relinquish their lead and would take a five-point 29-24 lead into the locker room.
- In the opening minutes of the second frame, the Blue Jays would claw their way back to within one at 36-35 before the Dutchmen would again answer with a quick 8-0 run to push their lead back up to nine around the midway point of the half.
- LVC would lead 46-41 with 7:57 left and would begin to run away from Elizabethtown. The Dutchmen would outscore the Jays 24-13 down the stretch and would cruise to the 70-54 win.
