ASHLAND, Va. – The Lebanon Valley Women's Basketball team fell 94-31 to No. 20 Christopher Newport in the opening game of the Randolph-Macon College Invitational. The Dutchmen fall to 3-2 on the season while the Captains remain perfect at 5-0.
How It Happened
- The Captains would jump on the Dutchmen early in this one and never look back as they used a swarming defense to force the Dutchmen into turnovers that resulted in CNU points. The Captains would hold a 27-6 advantage after the first quarter and 52-15 at halftime.
- LVC couldn't get anything rolling on the offensive end, unable to crack double digits in any frame and would fall 94-31 to the nationally-ranked Captains.
Inside The Numbers
- Daelyn Stabler led the Dutchmen with 12 points, seven rebounds, and four steals.
- The Dutchmen committed 37 turnovers while the Captains turned it over just 11 times.
- The CNU bench outscored the Dutchmen 67-2. CNU also held a 59-2 advantage in points off turnovers.
Who's Next?
The Dutchmen will finish their weekend at the Randolph-Macon Invitational tomorrow at 1 p.m. when they take on Averett University in the consolation game.
