SELINSGROVE, Pa. – A big second half by Susquehanna downed the Lebanon Valley Men's Basketball team 87-69 in non-conference action on Tuesday evening. The Dutchmen fall to 1-3 on the young season while the River Hawks improve to 2-0.

How It Happened
  • Susquehanna jumped on the Dutchmen early as they knocked down a trio of three-pointers during a 13-0 run to begin the contest. LVC would answer with a 9-0 run of their own to work their way back in the game, trailing by four just over six and a half minutes in to the opening half.
  • The River Hawks hot shooting, especially from deep continued and would push their lead back up to double digits, leading by 14 with 7:19 before intermission. The Dutchmen would trail 35-20 with 3:27 before the half before rattling off 10 straight points, capped by a Collin Jones buzzer-beating three-pointer to pull themselves back to within five at 35-30 at halftime.
  • At the start of the second frame, Susquehanna again started the half on a big run, this one a 12-2 spurt, to push their lead back up to 15 early in the second half.
  • The Dutchmen defense couldn't find an answer for the River Hawks, mainly Lukas Yurasits who scored 16 of his game-high 27 points in the second half, as LVC were unable to threaten Susquehanna as the deficit remained in double digits for the rest of the second half as LVC fell 87-69.
Inside The Numbers
  • Collin Jones led the Dutchmen with a double-double on 19 points and 12 rebounds.
  • Ryan Harder finished in double figures for LVC with 10 points off the bench.
